Make "Le Bijou" your own pied-a-terre in Languedoc's Minervois wine country. The thick stone walls remind you that it was once a farmer's
remise, but our contemporary re-model features an entire wall of sliding glass doors, an open-air dining terrace, a washing machine
and high-speed wireless internet.
Le Bijou is on tiny Impasse Montgaillard in the medieval center of Caunes Minervois, a traditional village in the heart of Languedoc-Roussillon. Caunes
is famous for its vineyards, red marble quarries, 8th-century abbey, and more recently, its thriving arts and music scene. Caunes Minervois is just
20 minutes from bustling Carcassonne, but has everything you need for comfortable village living. Around the corner from Le Bijou
are a baker, a green-grocer, the local bank, and the town café. Romantic mountain castles, picturesque villages, the Canal du Midi and dozens of wineries are a
few minutes drive from town; Mediterranean beaches are only an hour away.
Le Bijou features a quiet downstairs bedroom with plenty of storage space, and an upstairs kitchen - living-room combination. It's perfect for single travellers or a couple.
Original stone walls are set off by contemporary lighting and eclectic furnishings. The upstairs living area opens via sliding doors onto the spacious terrace.
The house is fully equipped with everything you'll need for a comfortable stay.
